THE BLACK HISTORY COLLECTION

A Black History art exhibit at The Met brought to life by people of color.

On February 15, 2020, The Black History Collection debuted at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, making it the first clothing collection launched in a museum with living statues. The Collection was comprised of 5 uniquely designed coveralls, all featuring different icons from Black History.

For those who saw our art exhibit and wanted to learn more, we designed and handed out “Black History Collection” pamphlets, which mimicked the design of The Metropolitan Museum Maps. Except instead of showing the interior map of the museum, we listed out the names and addresses of all black-curated African American museums in New York.
